Prairie Band Health Service is seeking an Optometrist to provide exceptional healthcare services at Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center (ZCCHC) Optometry Clinic at 21B Avenue Zuni, New Mexico 87327

Details:
Hours of Operation: normal clinic hours and shifts, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays
Duties:
Perform comprehensive medical eye examinations in an outpatient setting
Diagnose and manage optometric and ocular medical conditions
Conduct mandated screenings, including diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma evaluations
Provide emergency eye care services within scope of licensure and privileges
Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, visual aids, and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents
Order laboratory, diagnostic, and radiologic studies as clinically indicated

Requirements:A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution
A current, valid, unrestricted license to practice optometry in a U.S. State or territory
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Required immunizations and tuberculosis screening documentation
Indian Preference Exercised
Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 2 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B).
